Licensing Scholar exams

These exams are free for anyone to take. The pass mark is 70% at which point you can download a certificate. If you pass an exam you earn credits as shown in the tables below. When you have earned your first 100 credits you will be awarded a Licensing Scholar Credly badge to share your achievement with others. Credly badges are awarded for each 100 points earned, allowing you to choose the modules to earn your certifications. New exams are added regularly to this page.

Licensing Scholar Core

The Licensing Scholar Core certification is awarded when the four exams below have been passed, demonstrating that you have a basic knowledge of how Microsoft’s desktop and server products are licensed on-premises and in the cloud, and the different ways that customers can purchase those licenses. The modular nature of this certification means that it’s ideal for people new to licensing who want to learn and test their knowledge in bite-sized chunks. The training is free for everyone.
