Copilot in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center

Microsoft announce that Copilot is now available in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center for administrators to ask natural language questions as they tackle unfamiliar tasks. As long as an organisation has purchased 1 licence of Microsoft 365 Copilot, anyone with access to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center can use Copilot in this way.

Software reimaging rights licensing guidance

There’s an updated (February 2025) software reimaging rights licensing guidance document from Microsoft. There aren’t major changes – just a few version updates and references to VLSC changed to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

Licence auto-claim for Power Automate

Microsoft announce that licence auto-claim for Power Automate is generally available. This is a feature that enables administrators to set up policies in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center to automatically assign licences to users who need them.

Requesting a Power Apps licence

Users trying to run a Power Apps app which requires a licence can now request a licence from their IT department directly from within the product. IT administrators can view licence requests in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and approve them as required.

Azure Cost Management update

Microsoft announce that Azure Cost Management is now Microsoft Cost Management due to recent expansions in its capabilities.

In October it started covering Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Windows 365, and Power Platform offers when acquired through the Microsoft Customer Agreement, and in January lightweight cost management capabilities were added to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
